So there I was trying to attach my new i7 host via BAM! and for some reason it bit me in the leg!! Hows this?

I tried to attach and BAM! didn't fetch any projects for me. When I checked the host in the host list, it said BAM! was "checking." Not sure why I am having problems attaching my new host via BAM! Any ideas? Also, my host did update through boinc manager okay, and my events log has it contacting BAM! 6 times. Oh by the way, I moved the new host away from my leg so it will be harder for it to bite me again, but I would appreciate any other suggestions to help me get my new host trained! :-) I was hoping to feed it BOINC. But perhaps I did something wrong.

While answering your request, I realized that my new host was given a 64-bit OS. I really didn't want a 64-bit, but that is what they gave me. That ended up being the problem: I was using the 32-bit BOINC, instead of the 64-bit version on my new host. I sync-ed with BAM! after I downloaded and installed the 64-bit version, and magically my tasks appeared. Thanks for your inadvertent help!!
