If you have a constant connection, try setting your "connect every x days" setting to between 0.5 and 1 days. That will ensure enough work, without overextending and missing deadlines. Also, connect to more than one project, even if you give low priority to some of them. That way if one goes down, the others will keep cranking.

@Grenadier. Thanks, I will try your solution even if I'm still on dial-up. Hope it works the same. I have been connected three months to E@H (low priority). Thanks again

Yeah, for dialup it's a little more of a problem, since you may not want to connect 1-2 times a day. If you run Einstein though, the 0.5 day connect can help, as it will keep you from getting too many Einstein units to run in their short deadline time.

Tried the 0.5 day, updated both projects but no unit work available either from S@H or E@H...:-( Resetting could be a solution?

What Core client are you on? It may not want work if the long term debt on those projects is negative.

The core client for Seti is 4.09, the one for Einstein is 4.79. Both for Windows. I also noticed that I have a 4.10 into the Seti directory. I think I should not have a long term debt because I have only two Seti work units up with deadline on June 7th. I have no work unit for Einstein. I updated both project again but nothing happened. Thanks anyway for your patience.

From http://predictor.scripps.edu/: MFold Problems. There is a bug in our MFold binary that is causing problems on windows machines. If You are running Predictor on Windows and have workunits that are from a version of MFold other than 4.28 please cancel them!

Has anyone pointed out that the Western European special characters are displayed incorrectly? For example "Andre", when it is spelt correctly with an accent, comes out "André".

Yes, some people have. They used the bug forum. You could have read that.

Keep in mind that by bypassing whatever work you already have, and adding more, you may not be able to finish within the deadlines. That's likely why it wouldn't download before. That, or long term debt issues.

@Grenadier. I got the point. I did indeed the bypass of Seti wu running when its computation was nearly finished and taking care that its deadline was earlier than the one(s) of the new wu downloaded. Everything now seems working fine :-)

4.25 is passed already. The current recommended is 4.43. Pumpo, glad it worked. Jus twanted to warn you about the deadline thing. Ragnar: You probably have negative debt on those projects.

@ragnar: or maybe the EARLIEST DEADLINE POLICY is being annoying. search the seti board, it is way too much to write here
