@Lizz et al: Cheating aside, one work unit from S@H classic took about as long to crunch as one S@H BOINC work unit... so it's not exactly comparing apples to oranges: if I were to receive the same approx. amount of credit for each s@h classic workunit I computed before switching to BOINC, I don't think it would be too far off

It's true they CAN be converted at one time we had a discussion in the SETI forum and found that the average S@HII unit yielded about 25-32 credits. But it's a different project... if they had a column that was SETI Classic approximate equivalent credits, I don't care, but I don't think they should be added to the SETI/BOINC totals. Why?? Cause it acknowledges the Classic work, but makes everyone start with a fresh slate when they move to SETI/BOINC...

Why piss off the current user base at seti by adding the OLD user base into the mix. ITS CALLED COMMON SENSE... Its a case of what have you done for me lately?

Do what CPDN does list classic totals and Boic equicalency

Well, they do list the classic credits in their own field on your Account page at SETI BOINC. So it's acknowledged, just not added in.

@Grenadier: True, they do list the classic work unit credits but only up to the date you joined BOINC but this total does not include any classic WUs completed since - so that listed total is actually false in my case at least..

Actually, they've updated those counts at least once, and promised to do so again when S@H Classic gets turned off totally, so in the end, those numbers WILL include everything you did for Classic.

@Grenadier: Thanks for updating me (and everyone else) on that - there's over 2,000 uncredited for me at least!

@observer: Hmm - I just got a reload @10:40 US PDT, and scheduler status is green. Wait for the retry?

There's no point to joining LHC: They don't have enough work to supply the members they already have. That's why membership is still limited.

@EvilNailMan. 3.5 day settings, no work unit available. It could be a bug on deal with the settings because two work units were available with 0.5 day settings

New work will not be downloaded on the newer versions if you have a negative long term debt for that project. Read the new scheduling guidelines. http://boinc.berkeley.edu/sched.php

@Grenadier. Thanks, it was useful. It could be more useful if somebody down in Berkeley would try to set up some guidelines on how to balance projects and settings to get a costant flow of work unit. If I understand correctly, the main issue is the deadline...
