Please Remove Dead projects. Several projects are obviously dead and need retiring or parking:

Acoustics@Home - Possibly will restart, Announced new experiment to start soon in April 2017, nothing since.
AndersonAttack - Announced Experiment finished December 2016. No Communication since.
CAS@Home - Site has been dead for months now
FIND@Home - No Communication since GridRepublic takeover Deceber 2016, Forum Spam not being cleaned up.
SAT@Home - No Communication on site, Forum Spam not being cleaned up.

These Projects need "Special Measures"

Climate Prediction - Is Live, Project stats updated weekly. Needs note to this effect and needs removing from Project Status page.
Rosetta@Home - Is Live, Project Status stats not showing, Site location update?
SZTAKI Desktop Grid - Is Live, Doesn't have work in queue on purpose, remove from Project Status page.
Enigma@Home - GPU units not showing in project status.
Primaboinca - No stats on Project Status page.

Thanks

1) New tasks in the project Acoustics@Home will be in 2 days!!!
2) SAT@Home will be running again in the autumn (september or october).
3) Site of project CAS@Home is not dead, - site http://casathome.ihep.ac.cn/ is working.
4) Will or will not continue the project AndersonAttack, the author will decide in December this year.

I agree. If the project has not had work for months, it does not matter if the server is still up and wasting electricity. Until there is work again, the project is pretty much dead. The admin of CAS hasn't even bothered to check in for months. I would say until life returns, it can sit on the completed pile.

Awesome to hear about Acoustics. However, it would be nice if they communicated that in their forums.

SAT, same as Acoustics...would be nice if there was life signs shown in the forums. Last announcement was a year ago about getting a new server.

If AndersonAttack won't decide until December, then it should be put to rest until it is decided to return as it is currently Dead. Again, leaving the servers on and running does not constitute being a live project to most people.

The "Special maeaures" projects listed is a different matter. I have no feelings on that right now.

Have these been announced somewhere? I did go through all the usual forums and such but saw no updates. If so good news again, would be nice if updates were provided otherwise we can only assume a project is dead.

OK, that is odd. I have been unable to access the site for quite a while but now it is up for me as well. Also the project was always marked as offline on the Project Status page but now shows as online.

All announcements were made in the forum thread http://forum.boinc.ru/default.aspx?g=topics&f=108 (in Russian)

So, the project is now only for Russian speaking users? I just have not got the time to translate every thread in the project's forum to find that information. I understand that not everybody speaks English either but a lot of users do.

Yes. The forum is in Russian language.

But all projects can be work from all over the world.

In all projects the main page is in English.

And part of the forum about Gerasim@Home in English http://forum.boinc.ru/default.aspx?g=topics&f=74

And yet they were not announced at the project from what I see. I don't care if they were posted somewhere else. It makes no sense to justify it with that. It needs to be announced where people will know to look. In this case, at the actual project itself. That is why they have a forum in the first place.

@G_UK: CPDN seems to have work now, I don't understand why you want it removed from the status page. Or what you mean by "Special Measures".
Or are you confusing Climate@Home with ClimatePrediction.net?

(CPDN's primary site is unreachable if you use googles DNS servers btw. Pretty strange). I chose different DNS servers, and can access their page. Else CPDN.org works. Don't know why this is.

I know the project is fine but the "Project Status Information" page shows no data for the project making it look like the project has zero workunits. I was just pointing out that Boincstats doesn't show the correct data. As shown in the attached image.

The other projects I listed have similar problems.

Find@Home has now been dead for over a year since the Gridrepublic takeover, it needs removing.
SAT@Home has likewise been dead for over a year with spam not cleaned up on their message boards, it needs removing.

Primaboinca seems to still be alive but is not updating on the "Project status information" page making it appear dead.

Climate@home should be pulled too. The admin has not replied to any posts since September. No work is going out. The last time this project came around they did the same thing. Please remove it.
