If you have no qualms about Bitcoin Utopia, they're by far the highest credit award for GPU computation.

Don't mind me, just throwing gasoline onto the fire.

This is not correct, at least not for NVidias.
Collatz and GPUGrid give almost double what Bitcoin Utopia gives for GPU Crunching, not to mention DistrRTGen, which is no.1 in giving out GPU credits.
Can't say how the ranking for ATIs is though, but I believe, even the PrimeGrid GPU apps give better credits than BU.

See this post for a comprehensive list of projects and which hosts other than the standard x86 they can run on. I try to keep it up to date, but feel free to reply there if you find something out of date.

Do you have a link to a good stats page that would show this? Most of my GPU experience (on Windows) has been ATI; though my new laptop does have an nVidia, I haven't pushed enough tasks through it to get a good sense of its capabilities across projects. The stats I can pull up for the moment are on my old HD 4670; with BU I get 1,800 credits for tasks than run between 90 seconds and five minutes. On Moo!, I get 1,536 credits for tasks that average an hour and a half.

Of course, credits really aren't my priority, so I don't track that info very closely. Also, my nVidia laptop would probably not been a good one to compare since I use Tthrottle to keep the fans from sounding like a jet engine and that results in a wide variation in computing time.

Unfortunately not, that comes from my own calculations and experiences.
I have an Excel sheet where I control every projects credits with my machines (two different gpus).
According to that, my rankings would look like this: (note the values are always credits per hour)

Project NVidia GTX 560
DistrRTGen ~ 11,284
PrimeGrid PPS Sieve ~ 6,627
Collatz Large ~ 6,460
Collatz Solo ~ 6,374
GPUGrid ~ 5,994
Bitcoin Utopia ~ 5,258

Project NVidia GTX 660
DistrRTGen ~ 13,080
Collatz Solo ~ 9,711
Collatz Large ~ 9,629
GPUGrid ~ 9,486
PrimeGrid PPS Sieve ~ 8,291
Bitcoin Utopia ~ 5,287

Of course my first post was referring to the GTX 660 (and cards above that), since the GTX 560 values are somewhat closer.
All these values are a middle/average from around 50 crunched wus on every project. Since the BU CUDA wus always take the same time on every device (around 27 minutes) and get 2,400 credits it's logical that older cards than a GTX 560 can make better credits on BU than on other projects and new cards have a loss on that.
There are still some projects which would fit in the lists above and over BU, but since the values from them are a bit older and not updated I let them out.

That is a huge difference then and you're probably right in reference to other GPU projects on ATI. Wish I would know more about that...

As I understand, Bitcoin Utopia has a low Credit/TFlop rate, but you can buy one of those ASIC devices which can process thousands faster than any other processment device. Of course, ASICs are only usable to mine cryptocurrencies, which means that it won't be really usefull for other projects. That's why they have a lot of given credit. If you're searching a project that gives more credit for GPU tasks i recommend you Collatz Conjecture o DistrRTGen, also PrimeGrid Gives a good amount of credits, but their tasks are longer.

In case someone is interested here's a little updated list since DistrRTGen is down the drain now and Bitcoin Utopia doubled the credits for all CUDA wus recently (for whatever reason):
Project NVidia GTX 560
Bitcoin Utopia ~ 10,550 credits/hour
PrimeGrid PPS Sieve ~ 6,627
Collatz Large ~ 6,460
Collatz Solo ~ 6,374
GPUGrid ~ 5,994
Bitcoin Utopia ~ 5,258

Project NVidia GTX 660
Bitcoin Utopia ~ 10,550 credits/hour
Collatz Solo ~ 9,711
Collatz Large ~ 9,629
GPUGrid ~ 9,486
PrimeGrid PPS Sieve ~ 8,291
That gives BU undoubtedly the lead for GPUs on NVidia below GTX 7xx cards I guess...
