BOINCstats is currently in position 7 in the challenge but we are threatened by Ars Technica which is about to overtake is.

If you are running PrimeGrid please consider changing your preferred subproject selection to the LLR321 subproject and help defend the number 7 position, or even better, get us higher up the ladder.

Completely unexpected we were predictably overtaken by Ars Technica, but the gap is small and there is plenty of time and WU's left to get that position back.

YES! We got them back. But just barely. I hope we can keep it up.

A nice thing about this challenge is that it finishes just at the time that SIMAP will issue new workunits.

With some more dedicated crunching and a little luck, it looks like two teams can be overtaken:

5 Kobe_Project 2936763.75
6 SETI.USA 2889249.07
7 BOINCstats 2860154.9

Really starting to look like a horse race.

From the PrimeGrid homepage:

Less than 48 hours remain in the Challenge. For teams, places 1-4 are pretty much wrapped up. However, there is a tight 3-way battle for 5th place and several others beyond that. For individuals, there are many tight races below the top 3. Remember, due to the length of the Challenge, places 1-40 will earn Challenge Points this time.

Presently, BOINCstats is holding on to 5th place, only dedicated crunching will keep us there.

The PrimeGrid Drive for Five challenge will end on the first of June.

How about sharing a few computer cycles to help out our team?

The PrimeGrid Drive for Five challenge is over, leaving BOINCstats in fifth place in Team RAC:

5 BOINCstats 4362107.3

6 SETI.USA 4143494.3
7 Kobe_Project 4031900.21
8 Chalmers University of Technology 2766972.63
9 BOINC Synergy 2758025.14
10 Picard 2465393.2
11 Ars Technica 2444400.62

. . . a very respectable showing, considering 255 teams participated.
