According to their website, the server was hacked. Now only during working time the server is up to return old wu's and show results.
The project will be finished locally without further BOINC contribution.

Is it permanent, as in never coming back? Can't find a confirmation.

There was an official statement on their message boards. Unfortunately, the server is already down, so the link is dead.
This is also the reason why we will permanently close the server at the end of this week (14th of january). We again thank the boinc community, and we will definitely keep you updated about the results!

I guess that confirms the end of the project , as far as us Boinc'ers are concerned.
